Raising Funds to Support the Needs of our Growing Cluster Program

Did you know that Moos has a K-2 cluster classroom? How about that starting next year we will also have a 3-5 cluster class?? Exciting, right?! We're so thrilled that our family is growing!

Cluster programs are designed for students requiring a significantly modified curriculum with moderate to intensive supports in a separate classroom from general education peers for the majority of the day (over 61% of the day). Individuals may also need assistance with adaptive skills. This program is a relatively new offering at Moos and we're working hard to make sure every student has a joyful learning experience every day. Let's be honest though, the district doesn't supply all the things that are needed to make that happen. That's where community comes in.

This year's Walkathon fundraiser is dedicated to supplying our cluster classrooms and their school care teams with everything they need to provide the best and most successful learning experience possible.

Fundraising is needed to buy adaptive bikes, assistive communication technology, adaptive furniture, and other classroom essentials that are not provided by the district but would improve the success and learning experience of all students in our cluster classrooms. These are all items that Friends of Moos can purchase over the summer to ensure these classrooms start SY27 fully equipped.

Our goal is $15,000 - we can do this together! Sign yourself or your student up for their team today and start sharing their fundraiser page with your family, friends, and neighbors far and wide. A little bit goes a long, long way.

And don't forget, we're all walking on Friday, May 8th to support and celebrate our growing Moos family! Siblings, neighbors, grandparents, everyone is welcome! But the grand prizes go to our classrooms and students who do the most laps and raise the most funds!

Let's close this year out strong, Moos!

Click the link above to register as a new team member for your grade level on our Givebutter campaign. You can set your profile up with your family name, your students name, or whatever you prefer. Including a photo and description of what you're fundraising for helps when you send your Walkathon page out to your family and friends to ask for their support. Here's a description you may like to use:

"We are raising money to support the growing cluster program at our school, Moos Elementary! We have many Moosketeers who would benefit deeply if we had adaptive tricycles and other very useful classroom tools, and of course these things are costly and not covered by the district. This is why we need you, our community, to join our Walkathon efforts. Donate, share our fundraiser with your family and friends, and JOIN US for our Walkathon on May 8th in support and celebration of the students in our cluster classroom!"
